VP Marketing

We are looking for a VP Marketing with 10+ years of experience to serve as the first senior marketing leader at X5 Labs, defining and owning a new category in agentic AI for enterprise. You are a rare blend of category-creation strategist and hands-on demand-gen operator who can take us from stealth to market-defining brand. You'll write the positioning, ship the out-of-stealth moment, build the funnel, and then scale the team — all with genuine path to CMO. This is a true blank-slate opportunity backed by $32.7M in the bank and a differentiated product already deployed in Tier-1 financial services.

What will you be doing?

- Define, name, and own a new category — pressure-testing the narrative until analysts, press, and competitors adopt your language

- Lead the out-of-stealth launch in the first 90 days, standing up brand, site, and the founding marketing story

- Build and instrument the self-serve PLG funnel from scratch (signup → PQL → enterprise handoff) while also supporting the enterprise sales motion

- Operate as 70% IC in the first two quarters — writing positioning, running experiments, and selecting the martech stack — then shift to hiring and leading 2–4 marketing hires in year one

- Own marketing-influenced pipeline as your north star, partnering closely with the CRO and Product/Engineering to drive measurable, growing demand
