Senior SWE - Checkout Team

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 3-10 years of experience to own and build delightful checkout experiences on TrueMed's consumer-facing platform. You're primarily front-end focused but have the full-stack chops to dive deep into backend models when needed: you understand databases well enough to not write garbage queries, but you don't need to be an AWS wizard. You'll join a small, autonomous engineering team backed by a16z and Bessemer, building the infrastructure that connects $150B+ in HSA/FSA spending to health and wellness brands. This is a high-ownership role where you'll ship large features end-to-end on a modern stack (NextJS, React, TypeScript, Python/Django) in a fully remote environment.

What will you be doing?

- Own large, user-facing checkout features from inception to completion: optimizing conversion and building world-class consumer experiences

- Work primarily on the front end (NextJS, React, TypeScript) while diving deep into backend Django models and APIs when changes require understanding the full stack

- Collaborate with product, marketing, and design teams to set the direction of truemed.com's checkout flow

- Optimize page load performance, rendering behavior, and core web vitals to deliver fast, seamless experiences

- Help establish front-end norms and standards while expanding backend systems and data models to support product initiatives
