Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Platform

We are looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Platform with significant experience in building tooling and systems to join our team. We are seeking a proactive individual who can design self-serve platforms, libraries, and automation that enable our product engineers to ship features quickly and reliably. This role is crucial for enhancing our engineering velocity and ensuring our platform's performance, reliability, and scale as we grow.

What will you be doing?

- Own and evolve our AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi, treating infrastructure as a product for our engineering teams.

- Design and maintain internal developer tooling, libraries (TypeScript), and shared SDKs to standardize how we build and ship software.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite) and per-pull-request ephemeral environments to make deploying easy and safe.

- Drive platform reliability through SLOs, auto-scaling, and incident response, while enhancing observability with tools like Datadog.

- Solve scaling challenges related to our AI-native mortgage platform, from database tuning (Aurora PostgreSQL) to compute autoscaling.
