What you would be doing
- Identify, prioritize, design, and deliver technical platform solutions spanning cloud infrastructure, test infrastructure, shared product libraries, security practices, authentication, and CI/CD tooling
- Take ownership of production availability by implementing observability, recovery practices, and providing periodic on-call support for Timely applications
- Work closely with engineering stakeholders to understand pain points and unlock opportunities that enable the team to deliver value quickly while maintaining quality
- Drive investigation and decision-making on key technology choices that impact how Timely builds and maintains software
- Lead critical platform projects end-to-end — defining scope, creating tickets, and managing delivery timelines
- Uplevel the engineering team on platform technologies and best practices through documentation, presentations, cross-team design/code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers
- Design and develop full-stack solutions when necessary, including frontend work, to deliver value for the engineering team and wider business

What we're looking for:
We need someone with 3+ years of experience in infrastructure and platform engineering who has hands-on expertise with AWS, Terraform, MongoDB, Python, and CI/CD tooling. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment and have a track record of improving engineering team productivity, system reliability, and development velocity. Bonus points if you have experience in EdTech or cybersecurity.
What you'll do:
