The full description

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join a 12-person robotics team building a 6-DOF robotic arm on a mobile base that automates routine tasks in data centers. You'll write Rust, work on firmware, build teleop systems, and develop the software that makes our robots reliable in production environments. This is a generalist role — problems come up as they come up, and we want someone with a top-down problem-solving lens rather than a narrow niche focus. You'll own your systems end-to-end and ship code that runs directly on deployed robots.

What will you be doing?

- Building and maintaining the core Rust codebase that powers our robotic systems — from inverse kinematic solvers to real-time control loops and fleet infrastructure

- Developing and improving our teleop system (currently built on Meta Quest controllers) that enables remote robot operation and scalable data collection

- Working on firmware and low-level systems to improve robot stability, reliability, and performance

- Integrating sensors, cameras, and hardware systems across the full robot stack — working closely with the firmware and mechanical engineering teams

- Taking ownership of unique problems as they arise: streaming pipelines, ROS2 integrations, hardware control interfaces, data collection infrastructure, and more

- Contributing to the software cleanup and hardening needed to deploy into live data centers
