Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own entire product areas end-to-end at a seed-stage AI company transforming procurement for the $2 trillion CPG market. You'll be one of six engineers shipping customer-visible features every week, building AI-powered tools that turn messy supplier emails and documents into structured, actionable data.

What will you be doing?

- Owning whole product areas (supplier comparison, cert tracking, quote workflows) from backend to interface

- Building and shipping AI-powered features — extraction, comparison, drafting, retrieval — including evals and fallbacks

- Shipping weekly with a bias toward working software over perfection

- Joining customer calls to understand requirements firsthand and translate them into product

- Maintaining quality systems that hold — fixing root causes, not symptoms

Key Requirements

- 5+ years building production software with real depth across the stack

- 2+ years at an early-stage startup (seed to Series B) — purely big-company backgrounds are not a fit

- Passionate about building product — you care about UX and have opinions about the interface

- Fluent in AI: you build with tools like Claude Code and ship model-powered features reliable enough to sell

- All in: 5 days/week in-office in Redwood City, comfortable with ambiguity and no pre-chewed specs
