The full description

**Fun.xyz** Senior Product Designer; $155K–$300K + equity; NYC (Hybrid)

**About the Role** Owns product design across Fun's core money-movement flows — deposit, withdrawal, and checkout experiences used by a global, multi-asset, multi-currency user base. A high-ownership, largely self-directed seat driving both day-to-day execution and the platform's design system direction.

**Responsibilities** - Design end-to-end deposit, withdrawal, and account-access flows for a global, multi-currency, multi-asset user base. - Build and evolve a component-based design system in Figma. - Partner directly with frontend engineers to ship production-grade UI. - Balance fast execution with strong visual and interaction craft. - Bring motion design/animation into key product moments. - Operate with minimal oversight — own problems end-to-end from framing through shipped product.

**Required Skills** A. 5+ years of product design experience, including ownership of core flows on a live consumer or fintech product. B. Expert in Figma, including component-based design systems. C. Working familiarity with React and CSS — can collaborate directly with engineers on implementation detail. D. Portfolio demonstrates both strong execution and strategic/systems thinking.

**Bonus Skills** - Hands-on React, TypeScript, or SCSS experience. - Experience scaling a design system at a growing company. - Motion prototyping skills. - Experience designing for products with 100K+ users.

**Logistical Info** - Location: Midtown NYC HQ; in-person Mon–Thu, optional WFH Friday. - Compensation: $155K–$300K base + equity, performance incentives. - **Other:** Equity + performance incentives; comprehensive benefits.

**Ideal Background** - Senior product designers from fintech, payments, or high-scale consumer apps who've owned core money-movement or onboarding flows end-to-end. - Client prefers startup-minded designers (e.g., from Ramp-type startups) over legacy/enterprise backgrounds (e.g., JPMorgan), per client feedback on 10/6. - Client already has a couple of candidates in mid-stage for this role (Sept 18 call) — check current pipeline before sourcing duplicates. - Level note (recruiter-only): the live Lever posting's body text refers to this as a "Staff Product Designer" seat even though the page title/breadcrumb and Retool both say "Senior Product Designer" — worth a quick check with Caroline on which level she actually wants before calibrating candidates, since Staff usually implies a higher bar/comp than the posted $155K–$300K band suggests at the top end.

**Green Flags** - "Gets things done" — strong opinions, low ego, comfortable in ambiguity. - Can point to shipped, production UI they designed, not just concept work.

**Red Flags** - Portfolio is concept/Dribbble-only with no shipped production work. - Cannot work hands-on with Figma component systems or collaborate directly with engineers.

**Interview Process** 1. Recruiter screen with Caroline Kerr. 2. Chat with Fun's Product Lead. 3. Chat with Fun's Head of Creative. 4. Take-home exercise. 5. On-site final round.
