The full description

We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with 3+ years of experience to design and own power systems and power electronics boards for hypersonic flight vehicles. You'll join a small, elite avionics team where engineers personally make hardware work — not just manage requirements or provide oversight. This is a high-impact role where you'll own meaningful subsystems on the vehicle, from initial design through bring-up, debug, validation, and integration into production. Defense experience is not required — we value hands-on circuit design talent from aerospace, automotive, robotics, or any hardware-rich environment.

What will you be doing?

- Designing power electronics PCBAs including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, inverters, power switches, and power distribution systems for current and future flight vehicles

- Owning the full lifecycle of your hardware — from schematic design through bring-up, debug, validation, and production integration

- Defining your own requirements and figuring out the overall power system story in a system context (no separate systems engineers — you own it end-to-end)

- Working on high voltage and high current power systems for actuators, power filtering, and power bus sizing for mission-critical avionics

- Potentially supporting ground systems power electronics alongside flight hardware development
