The full description
We are looking for a Senior Commercial & Compliance Lawyer with 4+ years of experience to own the firm's day-to-day legal work alongside AI agents at Germany's first AI-native law firm. You'll be joining a bootstrapped, fast-growing founding team (40+ clients, turning down an €18M raise) as a key early hire who sets the quality bar for everything that follows.
What will you be doing?
- Reviewing and sharpening AI agent outputs across commercial contracts (SaaS, DPAs, NDAs, AGB, licensing) and compliance matters
- Owning end-to-end legal delivery for 40+ startup and scale-up clients with a one-hour response SLA
- Building client relationships and becoming the trusted counsel that clients rely on day-to-day
- Shaping how the AI platform practices law - feeding back into product to improve automation rates toward 80-95%
Key Requirements
- 4+ years in commercial, compliance, or corporate practice in Germany (Volljurist or Wirtschaftsjurist)
- In-house experience at a startup or scale-up (speed and business mindset are critical — not a slow corporate environment)
- Native-level German drafting and professional English
- Already uses AI tooling in legal workflows — treats agents as leverage, not a threat
- Startup mindset: understands and wants equity compensation, comfortable with ambiguity, and believes in the AI-native law firm future
