What you would be doing

  • Manage a sophisticated caseload of complex birth injury cases from intake through resolution, progressing from second chair to first chair
  • Take and defend expert depositions, traveling as needed (approximately 3-4 times per month) both in Georgia and out of state
  • Work closely with in-house L&D nurse consultants to develop deep medical knowledge relevant to each case
  • Collaborate with a small, close-knit team of attorneys, paralegals, and medical professionals to build winning case strategies
  • Receive mentorship from lead trial attorney Nelson Tyrone and transition into a first-chair leadership role
  • Maintain strong client relationships with families navigating difficult circumstances, providing empathetic and dedicated representation
  • Contribute to firm growth and culture as part of a mission-driven organization that gives back 5% of attorney fees to organizations benefiting families with special needs

What we're looking for:

We need a seasoned litigation attorney with 7-10+ years of heavy litigation experience in medical malpractice or catastrophic injury who is ready to take ownership of complex birth injury cases. You should be comfortable with extensive travel for depositions, have a track record of taking and defending expert depositions, and thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Bonus points if you have direct birth injury or obstetric malpractice experience.
