Robotics Engineer (Perception)

We are looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in perception to drive outcomes across SLAM, sensor fusion, and calibration that directly power the expansion of our business. You'll join a team of mission-driven robotics PhDs from Penn, Caltech, and CMU building physical AI for field workers at energy utilities. Our technology is an ironman suit for engineers and crews—same boots on the ground, now operating at 10x productivity. You'll work on some of the hardest problems in ground-based LiDAR perception, improving quality and consistency across diverse operating conditions while enabling scalability for three of the five largest utilities in the US.

What will you be doing?

- Leading SLAM development, incorporating new sensor evolutions and improving performance in GPS-degraded environments

- Fusing multi-user, multi-session point cloud maps and automating alignment of LiDAR and imagery data to produce consistent large-scale scenes

- Advancing extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including eliminating the need for extrinsic measurements on vehicle sensors in the field

- Building systems to catch and correct data quality issues at their source, powering scalability and reliability

- Improving the quality and consistency of perception outputs across an increasing breadth of operating conditions
