We are looking for a Residential Rent Regulatory Attorney with 4-5+ years of experience to join the nation's #1 real estate law firm. You'll handle sophisticated NYC residential rent regulatory matters for owners and developers in a collaborative environment that values longevity, professional growth, and work-life balance.
What will you be doing?
- Handling DHCR proceedings including owner applications, tenant complaints, and administrative appeals
- Advising owners and developers on due diligence for acquisition and development projects
- Representing clients in connection with assemblage sites, tenant buyouts, building vacates, and demolition projects
- Working within the Rent Stabilization Law, ETPA, and HSTPA frameworks
- Building your practice and book of business with firm support and origination credit
Key Requirements
- 4-5+ years of experience in NYC residential rent regulatory law (flexible for strong 4-year candidates who check all boxes)
- Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
- Demonstrated commitment and longevity at prior firms — no job hoppers (average attorney tenure here is ~11 years)
- Experience with Rent Stabilization Law, ETPA, and HSTPA
- Strong academic credentials and real estate background
