Skills that matter here
What you would be doing
- Run the product operating system: sprint planning across Product, Eng, and Design; own the backlog as a living artifact; facilitate rituals with named decisions, owners, and follow-through; own release coordination, QA readiness, launch checklists, and cross-team comms.
- Stay one step ahead: spot coordination failures, unclear ownership, missing decisions, and bottlenecks before they get expensive — and know when a decision is genuinely unresolved vs. just being avoided.
- Own support operations: oversee the support op and contractors, keep intake/routing/resolution clean, and turn recurring support signals into product and engineering inputs.
- Help an AI-native team operate like one: use AI aggressively to compress admin work, synthesize context, maintain artifacts, and build lightweight automations that let a small team operate at much greater scale.
The full description
koodos labs is hiring a Product Operations Lead to be the operational backbone of the product, design, and engineering team. Shelf (millions of users) is becoming a more complex system, and the team needs someone who keeps the shipping machine clear, coordinated, and fast — creating enough structure that Design can focus on craft, Engineering on shipping, and Leadership on the highest-leverage decisions.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative, facilitation-heavy role with substantial ownership, expected to grow into broader operations leadership as the company scales. It is an execution-and-grind role, not a strategy or product-vision seat.
What you'll do:
Simplify process aggressively — we want less process with higher reliability, not more ceremony. In-person daily in NYC. Visa sponsorship available.
