What you would be doing
- Lead complex affordable housing transactions involving 4% and 9% LIHTC allocations, tax-exempt bond financing, and multi-source financing structures from engagement through closing
- Take ownership of client relationships and drive deal execution for both for-profit and nonprofit developers across all aspects of the development process
- Work closely with the Managing Partner and fellow partners to shape the firm's growth trajectory and expand its national footprint
- Draft, negotiate, and close LPAs, operating agreements, loan documents, and complex financing instruments involving multiple regulatory and financing regimes
- Supervise associates and paralegals, manage deal teams, and contribute to the firm's collaborative culture and training initiatives
- Navigate the intersection of Section 142 (tax-exempt private activity bonds) and Section 42 (LIHTC) of the Internal Revenue Code to structure innovative transactions

What we're looking for:
We need someone with 8+ years of experience in affordable housing transactional work with a heavy emphasis on LIHTC deal structures who has a track record of independently running complex transactions from engagement through closing. You should be comfortable in a collaborative, flat organizational structure and have demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and close LPAs, operating agreements, loan documents, and multi-layered financing instruments. Bonus points if you have a portable book of business in the LIHTC/developer representation space.
