Sklar Kirsh LLP is a West LA boutique doing sophisticated middle-market M&A - think PE buyouts, strategic acquisitions, growth investments, and sell-side representations across entertainment, tech, consumer, healthcare, and aerospace. They co-counsel with Skadden and go against Latham, Cooley, and Dentons.

The role: This is a senior operating seat. They're looking for the right person to come in and start running from Day 1. You'll run deals day-to-day - managing due diligence, drafting and negotiating definitive agreements, coordinating specialty teams, and serving as a primary contact for clients and opposing counsel. Deal teams are lean (partner + associate + paralegal), so you carry real weight. No hand-holding. For the right person, this is a direct path to partnership - a Gibson Dunn alum made partner here in ~2 years.

The candidate: 6-8 years of real M&A deal experience from BigLaw, strong midsize, or reputable boutique. Must be able to independently manage transactions end-to-end, not just participate on them. Client-ready presence, strong judgment, responsive, and personable. Culture fit matters — this is a tight-knit team that values long-term commitment.

Details: $240K–$290K base (flexible upward) · 1,800 billable hours · hybrid (3 days remote) · $2,500 BD budget · competitive bonuses · full benefits · no visa sponsorship
