The full description
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with 1-5 years of experience to serve as the technical bridge between frontier AI labs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, Google) and our internal platform team. You'll sit in weekly meetings with researchers at the world's top labs, translate their requirements into RL training environments, and ship software that directly drives multi-million dollar projects at a YC-backed company that's grown from $0 to $42M ARR in under 8 months.
What will you be doing?
- Sitting in customer meetings with researchers at frontier AI labs to understand their RL environment requirements and translate them into technical specs
- Building 0→1 prototypes and custom environments/tooling for specific customer engagements before they become platform features
- Working in pods with Strategic Project Leads (SPLs) — owning the technical quality, engineering, and productionization of project requirements
- Enforcing quality standards for RL tasks and ensuring training environments meet the bar for frontier model improvement
- Unblocking delivery through integration work, technical debugging, and making design choices for custom projects without breaking the core platform
