The full description
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our fast-growing manufacturing platform and help scale how complex parts go from CAD to reality for top aerospace and defense customers. You'll be the type of engineer who gets fired up about seeing parts from companies like Anduril, Mach Industries, and Relativity Space cross your desk every single day. This is a high-impact, high-urgency role where your engineering judgment directly drives revenue — reviewing customer designs, matching them to the best US suppliers, and getting competitive quotes turned around fast. You'll thrive in a scrappy, fast-paced startup environment where every decision you make has meaningful commercial impact.
What will you be doing?
- Reviewing inbound customer RFQs — reading 2D drawings and CAD files to understand critical tolerances, materials, finishes, and manufacturing requirements
- Matching parts to the right US suppliers based on capabilities, capacity, and past performance, then managing the quoting process end-to-end
- Working directly with customers and suppliers to resolve technical questions, get competitive quotes back fast, and convert RFQs into paid orders
- Managing a high volume of concurrent requests with urgency — treating every customer interaction as a revenue opportunity
- Building relationships with suppliers and customers while helping improve internal processes and tools that power Vendra's manufacturing platform
