Litigation Associate (Media & IP) [New York]

We are looking for a Litigation Associate with 3–4 years of experience to join a 21-lawyer boutique media and intellectual property law firm handling cutting-edge copyright, trademark, First Amendment, and newsgathering litigation. This is a high-responsibility role for a sharp, driven litigator who wants to work directly with clients on fast-moving, high-stakes matters from day one.

What will you be doing?

- Support litigation matters end-to-end — from inception through resolution — across federal and state courts and arbitrations

- Conduct pre-publication and pre-broadcast clearance work, identifying legal risks and advising media clients weekly

- Draft dispositive motions, briefs, and advocacy-driven submissions with sophisticated legal research

- Manage discovery strategy, document review, depositions, and motion practice

- Collaborate directly with partners and clients to develop and execute case strategy, including court appearances and oral arguments

Key Requirements

- 3–4 years of litigation experience with a strong record of high-quality legal research and writing

- Demonstrated interest in media law, First Amendment, copyright, trademark, or IP litigation

- Admitted to the New York bar or eligible for admission

- JD from an accredited law school

- Based in or willing to commute to downtown NYC; comfortable with a fast-paced, multi-matter workload
