Land Use Partner

We are looking for a Land Use Partner with 10+ years of experience to join Lubin Olson's established Land Use group as a lateral partner with a self-sustaining portable book of business. You'll operate independently within a collaborative, mid-market firm that handles V10-quality matters—including UC system campuses, $500M+ affordable housing financings, and major Bay Area development projects—all while enjoying a family-friendly culture and sustainable hours.

What will you be doing?

- Leading your own client relationships and originating work across development entitlements, CEQA compliance, and land use matters

- Running matters independently from intake through entitlement or litigation outcome

- Handling CEQA environmental review, document preparation, and administrative record creation

- Advising on Subdivision Map Act, Cortese Knox Hertzberg, and Alquist Priolo matters

- Collaborating with the existing Land Use group on shared matters and cross-practice opportunities

Key Requirements

- Portable book of business of at least $600,000 in annual originations

- Established California Land Use practice with deep CEQA experience

- 10+ years of post-bar Land Use practice (12-20 years sweet spot)

- California Bar admission required

- Track record of running matters independently and originating client relationships (not litigation-only)
