The full description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with ideally 3+ years of experience to own the operational foundation of our sensor product platform. You'll be the first dedicated infrastructure hire on a small, high-caliber team at a six-person, $40M-funded startup – taking full ownership of cloud services, deployment pipelines, observability, and cost controls as we scale deployments across hundreds of scrap metal yards nationwide. We want someone smart, hands-on, and capable of learning quickly – ideally with FAANG or top-tier tech pedigree who's ready for more autonomy and upside at an early-stage company.
What you will be doing
- Owning all infrastructure across GCP – Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, GCS, secrets/IAM, and environment parity
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform), and deployment automation
- Implementing and managing observability – logs, metrics, alerts, and incident response
- Running cost controls and operational reliability as the platform scales to hundreds of customer deployments
- Managing Modal GPU job observability and fleet automation across edge devices
