What you would be doing
- Managing a caseload of lien files which involves rating the permanent disability under the AMA guides, reviewing medical records, understanding apportionment, completing settlement documents, and resolving liens
- Performing lien negotiations and legal representations
- Appearing before a judge for Mandatory Settlement Conferences, Status Conferences, and Walking Thru settlements
- Providing timely communication with clients and written summaries on a routine basis

What we're looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Hearing Representative with at least 3 YOE in California workers' compensation defense. They should be proficient in rating permanent disability using the AMA Guides, managing a caseload of lien files, and appearing before WCAB judges. A proven track record of resolving liens through negotiation and litigation is essential.
What you'll do:
- Manage a full caseload of lien files, from initial review to final resolution.
- Take ownership of rating permanent disability under the AMA Guides and understanding apportionment.
- Work closely with clients, including employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators, to achieve expedient claim resolution.
- Represent clients before WCAB judges at Mandatory Settlement Conferences, Status Conferences, and walk-through settlements.
- Lead negotiations with lien claimants to resolve disputes effectively.
- Draft and prepare all necessary legal documents, including settlement agreements, declarations, and position statements, to support your cases.
