- Draft and turn around transactional documents (SPAs, asset purchase agreements, LLC agreements, stockholder agreements, NDAs, employment agreements, ancillary acquisition docs)
- Join Zoom calls with clients
- Receive direct partner mentorship
- Coordinate closing documents, manage changes, and keep deals moving
- Interface with opposing counsel and clients regularly

We are looking for a business-generating General Partner with 8+ years of practice experience to join a top-tier boutique law firm in West LA and build or expand a practice on a platform designed for originators. Sklar Kirsh LLP — ranked Tier 1 in Corporate & M&A by The Legal 500 — co-counsels with Skadden and regularly works opposite Latham, Cooley, and Dentons, offering sophisticated deal work without the BigLaw overhead.
What will you be doing?
- Originating and expanding client relationships as the primary relationship partner across Corporate, Real Estate Finance, IP, Employment, or adjacent practice areas
- Leading matters end-to-end — from term sheet through closing — running lean, high-performing teams with direct partner access
- Cross-selling across the firm's practice groups and integrating your clients into the wider platform
- Serving as the senior point of contact for clients and opposing counsel on complex transactions
- Mentoring associates and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm
Key Requirements
- Portable book of business of at least $500K (ideally $800K–$1M+)
- Proven track record as a strong business originator — not solely service work on inherited relationships
- Active California bar membership (or willingness to join)
- Currently a Partner at a reputable law firm with 8+ years of practice
- Entrepreneurial, collaborative personality suited to a high-trust boutique environment
