Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Focused)

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Focused) with 3-5+ years of experience to architect and build the data models, APIs, and backend services that will power Ironflow's new finance and accounting modules. You'll bring domain knowledge from ERP, fintech, or accounting software to help model invoicing, payments, and financial reporting for defense manufacturers. This is a greenfield opportunity to design systems from scratch at a seed-stage company building the first AI-native ERP for defense tech. You'll work alongside a small, high-caliber engineering team that values autonomy, urgency, and craft.

What will you be doing?

- Designing data models for finance and accounting: invoicing, payments, P&L reporting, that aggregate operational data with HR, payroll, and subscription costs

- Building and exposing client-facing APIs for integrations to the platform (connecting external systems like HR, payroll, and accounting tools)

- Architecting backend services in Python/FastAPI with PostgreSQL, making smart choices between OLAP vs OLTP data model designs

- Contributing to the full stack when needed: you'll primarily own the backend but should be comfortable touching React on the frontend

- Helping expand the platform from operational inventory/supply chain management into a complete financial reporting system for defense manufacturers
