Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join a small, elite engineering team building the #1 AI-powered fashion app on the App Store. Alta is a top 100 app in the US and 12 other countries, processing millions of images daily across outfit generation, virtual try-on, and a new social feed — and we need engineers who can help us scale infrastructure, ship beautiful features fast, and experiment relentlessly. You'll work directly with the CEO/founder and a team of 6 engineers from top CS programs and companies like Pinterest, building a product that has been featured in Vogue, TIME Best Inventions, and Forbes.

What will you be doing?

- Scaling backend infrastructure to handle rapidly growing user data — Alta doubles server capacity every other week and processes 5-10 image uploads per second

- Building polished, snappy frontend experiences in React/Next.js and shipping features through a robust A/B testing and experimentation pipeline

- Working on data pipelines (ETL, orchestration) to ingest and process catalogs from 4,000+ brands - Contributing to ranking algorithms and recommendation systems for Alta's new social feed, including follow suggestions and content personalization

- Shipping end-to-end features in a fast-paced, experimental environment — from cowboy outfit contests to World Cup styling challenges
