The full description
We are looking for a Founding Recruiter with 3+ years of experience to be Sela's first in-house recruiter and build the recruiting function from scratch. You'll own full-cycle hiring across all functions as the company scales from 15 to 40+ people in 12 months, partnering directly with the CEO to fill critical roles fast and at a high bar.
What will you be doing?
- Running full-cycle recruiting across technical and non-technical roles (PMs, product specialists, AEs, AMs) — from sourcing to offer
- Building outbound sourcing campaigns to attract passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and AI tools
- Setting up and managing the ATS and recruiting tool stack from scratch
- Partnering directly with the CEO and hiring managers to define requirements, calibrate profiles, and move fast
- Eventually building out a recruiting team (coordinators, contract sourcers) as hiring volume grows
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of recruiting experience at an early or growth-stage startup where you built processes from scratch
- Strong outbound sourcing skills — you don't wait for inbound, you run your own campaigns
- Based in San Francisco and excited about working in-office 4 days/week (near Montgomery BART)
- Bachelor's degree from a top 25 US university (or Armenian university) — used as a proxy for clear, first-principles thinking
- Highly autonomous, thoughtful communicator who thrives in ambiguity and can articulate reasoning behind decisions
