The full description

We are looking for a Founding Fab Engineer with 2-6 years of experience to build Bohr Systems' nanofabrication capability from the ground up. You will be the person who starts in a large empty cleanroom and transforms it into a full lithography stack — selecting and purchasing machines, hiring operators, and owning the entire manufacturing process for optical metasurfaces and nanophotonic components. This is not just a technical role; it is the foundation of the company's long-term vision to become the TSMC of photonics. You'll have an unlimited budget, full autonomy, and the creative freedom to define what this fabrication branch of the company looks like. Backed by $10.6M from top-tier investors, this is a rare opportunity to do cutting-edge nanofab work with real resources.

What will you be doing?

- Building a full electron beam lithography and ICP-RIE fabrication system in-house from scratch — sourcing, purchasing, installing, and qualifying all equipment

- Owning the end-to-end process flow for optical metasurface and optical phased array prototyping and manufacturing

- Hiring and leading the fabrication team — you decide who to bring on and how to structure the lab

- Rapidly prototyping nanophotonic component designs from the optical scientists on the team

- Defining the long-term roadmap from prototype fabrication to volume production, including nanoimprint lithography master origination and foundry transition
