The full description

**Deepline** Founding Head of Growth; $150K–$190K base + meaningful equity; New York City (On-site)

**About Company** Deepline is the operating system for GTM execution — a "Context API" that lets AI agents enrich, validate, deduplicate, and sequence across 40+ go-to-market data providers with a single call, replacing dozens of point tools and integrations. It's Cloud Code-native and API-first: customers don't log into a UI, they work through coding agents, and Deepline surfaces the right proprietary data point at the right time so the agent can solve the problem.

Backed by $3.3M pre-seed from Lerer Hippeau, K5 Global, Exceptional Capital, Sabrina Hahn, and Rohan Shah. Growth is ~100% month-over-month, with enterprise logos like Modal and Composio finding them inbound and spending quickly — thousands of power users across several Tier 1 companies, and strong PMF before a formal enterprise motion exists.

Small, senior founding team (Jai Toor, Saf, Chirag Toprani) out of Uber, Lyft, Capchase, Datafold and OM1, with pedigree from MIT, Waterloo, Berkeley, Princeton, and UCSD. Based in NYC, in-person.

**About the Role** Own growth at Deepline as a hands-on individual contributor. Events, office hours, workshops, community, technical demos, customer stories, partnerships and word of mouth already work — your job is to turn those into a system, scale what works, and run the experiments that haven't been tried yet (partnerships, ecosystem, influencers, ads). Growth for a deeply technical product: you don't need to be an engineer, but you must be comfortable talking to technical customers and use the product. Above all, this is a high-agency seat — technical skill matters but is secondary to "will just figure it out and can own an ambiguous project end to end." The role's north-star metric is qualified opportunities/month — everything ladders to revenue.

**Responsibilities** - Scale the growth loops that already work (events, office hours, workshops, community) into a repeatable system. - Run experiments across acquisition, activation, and retention — partnerships, ecosystem, influencers, ads — not activity for its own sake. - Positioning and product storytelling that makes a new category easy to understand. - Customer stories, demos, technical content, and launches that show what people can build. - Own the numbers: qualified opps/month plus signups, activation, retention, and the leading indicators.

**Required Skills** A. High agency above all — a track record of owning ambiguous projects end to end and just figuring things out. B. Built something from zero in growth, developer relations, community, content, or product marketing at an early-stage company. C. Hands-on experimentation mindset — runs the tests, scales what works, kills what doesn't. D. Runs excellent events and earns trust in technical / developer communities. E. Technical lean — comfortable talking to Deepline's technical customers; uses the product (technical skill is important but secondary to agency).

**Bonus Skills** - Developer-relations + events background at a dev-tools / technical product. - Growth at a data company or a GTM tool.

**Logistical Info** - Location: NYC, fully in-person (5 days/week). Same intense culture as the wider team. - Compensation: $150K–$190K base + meaningful equity. - Number of openings: 1 (P2). Individual contributor; management not the near-term aim. - Visa: can transfer an existing H-1B, or TN / E-3 (Australia) — no fresh/full H-1B sponsorship from scratch.

**Ideal Background** - Above all: high agency — "will just figure it out and can own an ambiguous project end to end." Technical skill matters but is secondary. - DevTools + DevRel/events operators with a technical lean who can credibly engage technical buyers. - Zero-to-one growth / community / content at technical or dev-tools companies; GTM-tool growth is great. - Calibration profiles Jai likes: linkedin.com/in/sarahkrasnikbedell; linkedin.com/in/trevormfox (may be too data-heavy); linkedin.com/in/0xkarim (technically <3 yrs but very high agency/scrappy — rare); linkedin.com/in/christineluhong (more senior; PM/eng → founder, strong high-agency signal). Note: Sung Won Chung is strong but wants to stay content/advisory — not a fit. - Data-company backgrounds are a rich pool.

**Green Flags** - Owns ambiguous, end-to-end projects and just figures it out — agency ranked above raw technical skill. - Ex-founder or PM/eng → founder background (strong high-agency signal). - Moves without a perfect brief or a committee decision; produces work technical users genuinely value. - Bias to experimentation; cares about the system behind growth.

**Red Flags** - Campaign-calendar marketer who needs a fully-formed brief. - Can't earn credibility with technical / developer audiences. - Wants a content/advisory-only scope rather than owning hands-on growth.

**Interview Process** (commercial loop) 1. Intro conversation with Jai (decision-maker & POC). 2. Screen with Chirag (Saf non-blocking). 3. On-site / case study in NYC. 4. Verbal offer, 1:1; fast feedback (~24h between stages).
