Founding Go-to-Market Lead
Other · Posted 18 days ago
Deepline is hiring a Founding Go-to-Market Lead to turn strong inbound demand into a repeatable commercial motion for its API-first GTM data infrastructure platform. This individual-contributor founding operator will work directly with founders and customers across pipeline, discovery, pricing, pilots, onboarding, adoption, expansion, and commercial process. The current motion is high-velocity, with approximately 1–2 month cycles and $36K–$60K deals, rather than traditional year-long enterprise sales cycles.

The full description
**Deepline** Founding Go-to-Market Lead; $150K–$190K base + meaningful equity (variable/OTE likely as the motion matures); New York City (On-site)
**About Company** Deepline is the operating system for GTM execution — a "Context API" that lets AI agents enrich, validate, deduplicate, and sequence across 40+ go-to-market data providers with a single call, replacing dozens of point tools and integrations. It's Cloud Code-native and API-first: customers don't log into a UI, they work through coding agents, and Deepline surfaces the right proprietary data point at the right time so the agent can solve the problem.
Backed by $3.3M pre-seed from Lerer Hippeau, K5 Global, Exceptional Capital, Sabrina Hahn, and Rohan Shah. Growth is ~100% month-over-month, with enterprise logos like Modal and Composio finding them inbound and spending quickly — thousands of power users across several Tier 1 companies, and strong PMF before a formal enterprise motion exists.
Small, senior founding team (Jai Toor, Saf, Chirag Toprani) out of Uber, Lyft, Capchase, Datafold and OM1, with pedigree from MIT, Waterloo, Berkeley, Princeton, and UCSD. Based in NYC, in-person.
**About the Role** Deepline has strong inbound pull from mid-market and enterprise (incl. Tier 1 logos); the Founding GTM Lead turns that pull into a repeatable commercial motion. An individual-contributor role first — a generalist founding operator working directly with founders and customers to own GTM end to end: pipeline, pricing, onboarding, qualification, pilots, time-to-value, and how value is delivered. Deals today run ~1–2 months at ~$36–60K — a scrappy, high-velocity motion, not the 1-year $1M-ACV enterprise cycle. Deepline sees ~25 qualified inbound enterprise opportunities/month with near-zero marketing (word of mouth + partners). You don't need to build your own systems — the team helps there; you need to be a scrappy generalist operator who figures things out.
**Responsibilities** - Turn inbound interest into sharp use cases, well-scoped pilots, and commercial agreements. - Own mid-market and enterprise opportunities end to end: first conversation → close → adoption → expansion. - Run exceptional discovery — understand the customer's operating reality, not just the budget. - Help customers prove value quickly without turning every pilot into bespoke consulting. - Build the materials and operating rhythm that make the motion repeatable. - Bring customer signal into product decisions; pick the few outbound experiments worth running.
**Required Skills** A. Has built, or materially helped build, an early commercial/GTM motion — a scrappy generalist operator who figures things out. B. Exceptional at discovery; makes a technical product clear to both business and technical buyers. C. Owns commercial outcomes end to end at velocity — scoping, closing, and delivering value (the current motion is ~1–2 month cycles, ~$36–60K). D. Strong project management and attention to detail; writes clearly and follows through. E. Technically curious — dev-tools experience useful; wanting to understand technical customers is non-negotiable.
**Bonus Skills** - Experience selling at Series B–D-stage companies. - PLG or SLG motion experience. - Developer-tools / technical-product background.
**Logistical Info** - Location: NYC, fully in-person (5 days/week). Same intense culture as the wider team. - Compensation: $150K–$190K base + meaningful equity ("same band, open to feedback"); variable/OTE likely as the motion matures — Deepline wants to be a top 10–20% offer and welcomes market input. - Number of openings: 1 (P1). Individual contributor; management possible later, not the near-term aim. - Visa: can transfer an existing H-1B, or TN / E-3 (Australia) — no fresh/full H-1B sponsorship from scratch.
**Ideal Background** - Founding/early hires who built a commercial motion from zero at an early-stage startup — scrappy generalists who figure stuff out, not narrow sales specialists. - Strong signal — sold technical / dev-tools products to technical buyers. - Series B–D-stage selling experience is a plus (per client note). - Not the right fit: pure 1-year $1M-ACV enterprise sellers (different skillset from this velocity motion).
**Green Flags** - Swiss-army-knife operator: builds the playbook and delivers at velocity. - High agency; experiments rather than defending how sales is "supposed" to work. - Credible with technical founders and engineers; clear written communicator.
**Red Flags** - Wants to inherit an existing playbook; process-only, not a builder. - Can't get credible with a technical audience. - Only experienced in slow, $1M-ACV enterprise cycles with no from-zero/velocity experience.
**Interview Process** (commercial loop) 1. Intro conversation with Jai (decision-maker & POC). 2. Screen with Chirag (Saf non-blocking). 3. On-site / case study in NYC. 4. Verbal offer, 1:1; fast feedback (~24h between stages).
