The full description
We are looking for a Founding Engineer with 5+ years of experience to be our first technical hire and build an AI-native neobank from the ground up. You'll join a pre-product stage company building the first truly agentic financial services platform — one that automatically helps consumers pay down debt faster and optimize their cash flow. This is a hands-on builder role where you'll own the architecture, the stack, and every technical decision as we go from prototype to MVP launch. You should have strong 0-to-1 experience, a preference for fintech or regulated domains, and the ability to ship production systems that handle real money movement. This role has a clear path to technical leadership as the team grows.
What will you be doing?
- Building the MVP end-to-end: web app, mobile app, and the backend systems behind them — from secure AI-native infrastructure to money movement
- Integrating fintech vendor technologies (BaaS partners, payments rails, KYC/AML) into the core banking, card, and lending infrastructure
- Designing the architecture and data stack for an agentic financial services operating system, making key decisions on cloud providers, data resiliency, and system design
- Building agentic workflows that plug into real money decisions safely — with deterministic, auditable logic and compliance guardrails
- Setting the technical standards and architecture that future engineers will build on, while continuing to manage and work with contract engineers
