The full description
We are looking for an Industrial Systems Engineer & CAD SME with 7-15 years of experience to serve as the subject matter expert bridging SynthBee's agentic AI technologies with heavy machinery and industrial manufacturing partners. This person will act as the "digital architect" ensuring our software produces physically viable, production-ready designs compatible with professional CAD ecosystems.
What will you be doing?
- Serving as the subject matter expert for industrial manufacturing, validating deep manufacturing practices across high-speed machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing
- Managing the pipeline of industrial engagements — interfacing with technicians, quality engineers, and client engineering teams
- Translating customer requirements into actionable design inputs, understanding end-to-end workflows in Creo and related CAD/FEA tools
- Conducting high-level risk assessments including temperature requirements, failure breakpoints, and stress analysis for industrial components
- Navigating regulatory compliance across OSHA, EU Machinery Directive, AS9100, and related industrial standards
Key Requirements
- Deep manufacturing literacy — hands-on experience with at least two of: high-speed machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing (sheet metal is less relevant)
- Technical proficiency in Creo (primary), with familiarity in FEA/FEM analysis and FMEA processes
- Experience with regulatory/quality frameworks (OSHA, AS9100, EU Machinery Directive, ISO 13849/12100)
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder, willing to travel 35-50% of the time and relocate to Florida
- Solid tenure at recent roles — no frequent job-hoppers; must still be hands-on with tooling and end-to-end workflows (not purely commercial/sales-focused)
