The full description
We are looking for a Deployment Project Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to manage the end-to-end delivery of Rivan's modular synthetic fuel plants from factory to field. You'll be a high-agency, field-loving engineer who thrives under tight deadlines and limited resources — someone who can manage subcontractors, navigate construction regulations, and keep complex hardware deployments on track. This role reports directly to the Head of Deployment and is critical to scaling Rivan's operations from the UK's largest synthetic fuel plant to what will be Europe's largest. If you've deployed hardware in challenging environments and want creative ownership at a company building an entirely new industry, this is for you.
What will you be doing?
- Managing the overall project delivery of getting Rivan's 1MW modular systems from the London factory into the field — coordinating timelines, Gantt charts, and flagging risks early
- Managing civil subcontractors for groundworks, utility connections, wiring, pipeline routes, and solar installation
- Ensuring all site construction activities comply with CDM regulations and UK Health & Safety requirements
- Working closely with the production and permitting teams to align manufacturing timelines with deployment schedules
- Spending time between the London factory and project sites (primarily Swindon), acting as the bridge between development and field operations
