The full description
We are looking for a Data Product Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join Effective AI as a founding engineer and build the data layer that powers our AI platform for insurance P&L teams. You'll work directly with customers to identify high-value data use cases, then own the full path from raw external sources to production-ready signals that our agents can trust and act on. This is a rare opportunity to shape a foundational system from scratch at a $10M seed-stage company backed by Lightspeed and Valor, solving hard problems in a $6 trillion industry.
What will you be doing?
- Working with customers to identify common data use cases (e.g., legal/financial records for company insurance) and determining which external data sources to bring onto the platform
- Building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines: ingesting, extracting, and synthesizing data from new external sources
- Exposing data through product surfaces so it's easily consumable by agents, ensuring high-quality answers with accuracy
- Building and maintaining evaluation harnesses to ensure data quality and agent reliability at scale
