We are looking for a Complex Litigation Defense Attorney with 2+ years of civil litigation experience to join Manning Kass' expanding Complex Team in California. You'll handle high-exposure personal injury defense cases involving transportation, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims alongside seasoned litigators and ABOTA trial attorneys.
What will you be doing?
- Managing a caseload of complex personal injury defense matters (automotive, trucking, catastrophic injury, wrongful death)
- Handling all phases of discovery—propounding, responding, taking and defending depositions
- Attending court hearings and developing litigation strategy
- Participating in mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
- Proactively managing client communications throughout the course of litigation
Key Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience (defense-side preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and self-starter mentality
