What you would be doing
- Attending hearing, taking and defending depositions, while analyzing, assessing, and executing litigation strategies.
- Drafting written discovery, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, documents requests and request for admissions.
- Proactively managing communications with clients throughout the course of litigation.
- Timely and accurate reporting to our clients, ensuring compliance with their case management requirements.

We are looking for a Civil Defense Litigation Associate with 2+ years of experience to join Manning Kass's Dallas office. You'll work closely with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation—from case evaluation through trial—with a focus on strategic thinking to achieve client goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated attorney eager to grow within a nationally recognized firm.
What will you be doing?
- Attending hearings, taking and defending depositions, and executing litigation strategies
- Drafting written discovery including interrogatories, document requests, and requests for admissions
- Managing client communications and ensuring compliance with case management requirements
- Conducting legal research and case investigation throughout all phases of litigation
- Collaborating daily with lead attorneys on case evaluation and trial preparation
Key Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas State Bar membership in good standing
- 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience
- Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
- Experience with discovery, depositions, and case handling
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple deadlines
