Chief of Staff

We are looking for a Chief of Staff with 1-3 years of experience to serve as a high-agency operator at an early-stage AI safety startup. You'll work directly with the founders to unblock the team, drive strategic projects, and help establish General Analysis as the standard for AI security — all while building context across a fast-moving cybersecurity research lab that recently raised $10M from Menlo Ventures and Altos.

What will you be doing?

- Managing customer communications, contract negotiations, and legal coordination on behalf of the founders

- Driving compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC2) and ensuring all evidence and processes stay on track

- Conducting market research, writing strategic documents, and handling sales outreach

- Representing the company at conferences and with external partners

- Proactively identifying bottlenecks and unblocking the team across operations, finance, and business development

Key Requirements

- 1-3 years of experience in consulting (MBB preferred), finance, or at a high-growth startup

- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university

- Extremely agentic and disciplined — proactively finds and solves problems without waiting for direction

- Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)

- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco for full-time in-office work
