The full description
We are looking for a Case Investigation Attorney with 5+ years of securities litigation experience to join our case investigation team and play a meaningful role in identifying and developing new matters for institutional investor clients. You'll be part of a top-ranked plaintiff securities firm that is selective by design—recommending only the strongest cases to clients ranging from small county funds to CalPERS.
What will you be doing?
- Evaluating potential securities cases by analyzing corporate disclosures, SEC filings, stock price movements, and financial data to determine whether to recommend matters to clients
- Conducting in-depth investigations—including reviewing public domain information, talking to former employees, and digging deep to understand what happened before recommending a case
- Leveraging AI and data-driven tools creatively to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and enhance case evaluation
- Preparing internal memoranda, loss analyses, and client-facing summaries for institutional investors
- Collaborating with portfolio monitoring, data analytics, financial experts, and investigators to assess liability theories
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of securities litigation experience (4 years considered for exceptional candidates)—must have actual litigation experience to understand case strength
- Creative, analytical thinker who knows what questions to ask and can dig deep to find answers
- Interest in plaintiff-side work (candidates from large defense firms are highly valued)
- Experience with or willingness to use AI tools and technology platforms for research and analysis
- Stable employment history—no job hoppers
