Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

We are looking for an Associate Attorney with 6+ years of civil litigation experience to own cases from initiation through settlement or trial. You'll join a collaborative, in-person firm where you're treated as a professional with full autonomy over your caseload, supported by paralegals and experienced colleagues — this is your opportunity to do real litigation work.

What will you be doing?

- Managing your own civil litigation cases end-to-end (employment law, school law, and general civil litigation)

- Drafting motions, conducting discovery, and deposing parties, experts, and third parties

- Attending hearings, arguing motions, and conducting bench and jury trials

- Meeting with clients to devise litigation strategies and execute settlement agreements

- Collaborating daily with colleagues on case strategy in an in-person environment

Key Requirements

- 6+ years of civil litigation experience with strong motion practice skills

- Ability to independently manage cases from intake through trial with minimal supervision

- Trial-ready mindset — second chair experience preferred, first chair even better, but must be eager and prepared to try cases

- Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing

- Stable employment history with no unexplained short tenures or frequent job hopping
