Applied AI Engineer

Alfred is building a novel machine controls engineering platform.

We are looking for Applied AI Software Engineers to develop deep integrations, harnesses, and novel approaches to agentic workflows, which require familiarity with classical Computer Science, classical Machine Learning (bayesian stats, regressions, etc), as well as state of the art Artificial Intelligence concepts and mechanisms (LLMs, RAG, etc).

You will own the architecture and design around AI agents and LLM-based workflows, choosing the optimal and most scalable approaches. Knowing how the different pieces interact is key, and having applied learned, theoretical AI / ML concepts to concrete projects and implementations is what sets you apart.

Preferred Experience

- LLM / AI / ML research experience or education

- supervised and unsupervised optimization approaches

- post-training / fine-tuning special purpose models

- SWE experience, CS background

- large-scale information processing algorithms

- semantic and quantitative indexing and search

- distributed systems
