What you would be doing

  • Own Volition's internal AI strategy end-to-end — identifying automation opportunities, building tools, and ensuring everything is done responsibly and compliantly
  • Take ownership of existing proprietary internal tools and reimagine them in the context of a firm-wide AI strategy
  • Work directly with partners, analysts, and operations teams to translate business needs into working AI-powered products (not just prototypes)
  • Lead and manage a third-party engineering team — setting direction, maintaining velocity, and holding the team to AI-native development standards
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions on AI tools and platforms, evaluating cost, opportunity, and compliance implications
  • Manage integrations across core platforms including CRM and deal flow tools, data pipelines, and workflow systems
  • Partner with compliance to establish data classification, access controls, and AI risk frameworks — particularly around MNPI, LP data, and portfolio company information
  • Serve as the internal AI subject matter expert — educating and enabling the broader team to leverage new tools effectively
