AI Forward Deployed Engineer

We are looking for a AI Forward Deployed Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to embed directly at a top-tier hedge fund client in NYC and own the full technical deployment of Transient.AI's cutting-edge capital markets platform. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for a confident full-stack engineer who thrives in demanding financial environments, can push back under pressure, and ships real production systems — not demos.

What will you be doing?

- Embed 4 days/week at a hedge fund client as the technical lead, customizing and deploying Transient.AI's AI platform into their live production environment

- Build full-stack solutions end-to-end — from backend API integrations to TypeScript/React interfaces used daily by portfolio managers and analysts

- Own the entire SDLC: code review, testing, versioned releases, and documented decisions for systems that real users depend on

- Integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into production, iterating quickly based on direct feedback from traders, analysts, and ops teams

- Navigate stakeholder relationships across business, compliance, and tech leadership — gathering requirements, negotiating scope, and delivering on milestones

Key Requirements

- Strong Python and TypeScript proficiency — must be a true full-stack engineer, not a consultant who codes on the side

- Proven track record building and shipping client-facing production systems with real SDLC and API discipline

- Experience integrating LLMs into production workflows; comfortable with agentic frameworks and hands-on AI engineering

- Confident, polished communicator who can present ideas clearly, push back on unreasonable demands, and hold their own in a high-pressure hedge fund environment

- 5–8 years of production software engineering experience; backgrounds from Palantir, AI-for-finance startups, or boutique consulting firms with heavy client exposure are strongly preferred
