The full description

We are looking for an Account Management Director with 10+ years of experience in complex hardware environments to own and grow Magic Leap's strategic OEM partner relationships. You'll be the bridge between customers and internal engineering, product, and supply chain teams as Magic Leap scales its waveguide and display component business into the next generation of smart glasses.

**What will you be doing?** • Own day-to-day management of strategic OEM partner accounts from technical qualification through production — these are 12-18 month sales cycles with companies like Samsung, Google, Meta, and Snap • Serve as the single point of contact between partners and Magic Leap's engineering, product, operations, and supply chain teams • Coordinate technical discussions, design reviews, and program milestones to keep partner programs on track • Advocate for partner needs while communicating manufacturing constraints and risks proactively • Help shape how the account management function operates — this is a new team being built from scratch

**Key Requirements** • 10+ years of customer-facing experience in complex hardware (semiconductor, optics, displays, consumer electronics, photonics, or capital equipment) • Proven experience managing strategic/OEM accounts through full product development cycles — not transactional or high-volume account management • Strong cross-functional coordination skills — ability to quarterback across engineering, product, operations, and supply chain • Technical credibility to hold design tradeoff conversations without a specialist in the room • US-based, able to travel ~50% including internationally; no visa sponsorship available
